Tomorrow is 4th of July. The holiday where you get together with old friends, new friends, and your family. You eat, you talk, and the kids mingle. Then everybody goes and watches fireworks. Whether it is at a lake or a National Park it always really cool. Some people just sit at home on the couch and watch fireworks in New York or London. If you are one of those people I encourage you to get up and go see it in person. This is one of the best holidays ever. I can’t wait for tomorrow night when the sky is bright!

Today in 1992
This day 18 years ago two big earthquakes hit California. These were two of the strongest earthquakes ever to hit California and they both happened in one day. The quakes hit the desert area east of Los Angeles this day in 1992.
At 4:57 in the mo
rning the city of Landers was hit by a 7.3 magnitude earthquake. Landers is 100 miles east of Los Angeles and densely populated. Because of the low population damage was very minor. There was still damage but there was not as much damage as there would’ve been if the earthquake had of happened in Los Angeles or another large city.
Residents of Los Angeles did experience shaking for about a minute though. The tremor was also felt in Las Vegas, Arizona, Idaho, and many other cities/states.
Just a little more than three hours later a second, weaker earthquake also hit California. The second earthquake hit in Big Bear which was not that far away from the epicenter of the first quake. The second quake had a magnitude of 6.3. This quake was weaker than the first but more deadly. It caused fires to break out and killed three people. Two died of a heart attack and the third victim was a three year old child. A chimney fell and crushed the child during the earthquake.
Between the two earthquakes 400 people were injured and there were $92 million in damages. The quakes also triggered landslides which wiped out roads and caused a 44 mile long rupture in the earth, the biggest in California since the 1906 earthquake in San Francisco.
USA Knocked Out
In the 2010 World Cup USA was paired with Ghana. At halftime USA was down 1-0. In the second half both teams scored one goal. The end score ended at 2-0. Ghana will move on to Quarterfinal against Uruguay. I was rooting for USA to make it farther in the World Cup but they just had no luck this year.`
Bob Bradley and the USA team will return home with no wins in this year’s World Cup but midfielder, Landon Donovan, #10 will return home with a goal.

You asked for it! Here’s your first glimpse at the new features, songs, and instruments for Rock Band 3! This game has mind-blowing new modes and instruments – including Pro Mode and a keyboard peripheral! – and more music than any other music game. Let’s get right into it:
New style of Rock Band 3 characters
The Music:
Rock Band 3 will have an incredible 83-song setlist, as well as support for the over 1,500 existing Rock Band tracks (Rock Band and Rock Band 2 discs, DLC, track packs, AC/DC Live: Rock Band Track Pack, LEGO Rock Band, and Green
Day: Rock Band). The setlist contains songs from some of the best bands from around the world, including bands that have never appeared in a music game! Don’t think it stops there – the regular weekly DLC releases will continue after Rock Band 3‘s release.

In addition to the plastic guitars, bass, drums, and vocals you’re used to, now you can jam on a couple of new instruments. Play vocal harmonies with up to three players like you did in The Beatles: Rock Band. And for the first time ever you’ll also be able to play using a keyboard peripheral!
